This site is a collection of projects I worked on between 2004 and 2009. At this time, I am no longer available for contractual assignments.
I began working in online communications in 2003. Over the past five years, I've worked for a variety of campaigns, causes, and non-profits. I have designed, built, and managed Web sites and email campaigns ranging in scale from very small to very large. I thrive in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines by being organized and efficient. I like working on the design side as well as the technical side of the Web because it exercises both halves of my brain. And I've learned about myself that I do my best work when I believe in what I'm working on.
Clean. Simple. Effective. Intuitive.
The user is the most important part of any design. If they don't get it, it's not working.
I believe in promoting content through social networks and advertising, but I also recognize the necessity of producing content worth promoting – content compelling enough to keep visitors coming back. Managing large-scale sites has taught me the value of analyzing data and setting metrics, and I'm a firm believer in studying all the numbers to give visitors the best possible experience.
If you'd like to know a little more about the kind of work I've done, you can read my resumé.
